MEDIUMS VIEW YULE

December 19, 2019

Yule Time

A pagan festival also called the Winter Solstice celebrates the rebirth of the Sun, the Sun God and honors the Horned God.  OnjYule we experience the longest night of the year.  Although much of  the winters harshest weather is still ahead of us, we celebrate the coming light, and thank the gods for seeing us through the longest night.  It is a time to look on the past"s achievements and to celebrate with familly and friends.

The bruning of the Yule Log   represents the end of the year, the completion of the old and the beginning of the new.  As a Medium , I always remind my clients to do a simple ceremonies at New Years or on the solstice to cast out the old and bring in the new vibrations.  Since the burning of the yule log is as old as the neolithic our ancestors have known and  paricipated in this ancient tradition..

We can achieve  this practice in a number of ways.  For example, we can write a small petition asking that  an old behavior parttern or poor habit be extinquished from our consciousness.  Then simply burn the petition.  Or we can smudge our houses with sage and follow it up with sweet grass (the sage takes out the old and the sweet grasss puts back the sweet).  You can also use frankensence and myrhh for this purpose.

Happy New Year and Happy Yule time  both traditions are important milestones to acknowledge.
